Buying Traffic Credits on Traffic Exchanges
Buying credits on a traffic exchange is an essential way to use traffic exchanges. If you’re going to sign up for a traffic exchange you’ll usually be offered an incredible discount on their top membership. When you’re offered this, unless you’re completely broke you’ll want to buy it. The reason is they’re going to give you a great discount and if you buy the same membership at a later point they’re going to charge you a lot more for it. I have used a few different traffic exchanges and even the ones with the most generous ratios take a long time to earn credits on. Simply because of the timers. I’m not saying that long timers are a bad thing, far from it. If I’m going to be paying for credits or surfing for hours to earn precious credits I want the people viewing my site to be on it for as long as possible.
Even when you have signed up for the top membership on a traffic exchange, you’ll find that if you have a lot of sites, you may need to purchase additional credits. Some sites are known to offer periodic discounts on credits so it may be wise to use your membership credits and spread them out over the first month or two just to see if the site you signed up for is going to have any discounts. If not then you’ll want to purchase them at the going rate. Keep in mind that it’s always a good idea to refer people to the traffic exchange because this will earn you dollars or credits.
Remember to put aside some time to surf the exchange you’re advertising on, so you have an idea of the sort of content that’s on the site and what you’ll have to do to catch people’s attention. Remember to advertise products that you would use yourself. That way you’re part of your own target market and you’ll have a better idea what you need to do to appeal to customers like yourself. If you’re a man don’t try to sell bras, if you’re a woman don’t expect to be selling a lot of boxers.
Traffic exchanges are here to stay and provide a lucrative marketplace for your ideas and products. Using them effectively and efficiently can make them a useful tool for earning a living. Remember to spread your credits out over a variety of ads and make sure they last until you can buy more. You don’t want the same person to be seeing your ad 20 times, so don’t overspend during one time period. Because typically someone’s going to sit down and surf for a significant period, and if your ad keeps appearing 20 times and the person doesn’t click it, then that’s money wasted. I’m of the opinion your credits are better used when 20 people see your ad once.
